PRINCIPAL CONSULTANTS

JENNIFER RODGERS BEACH has worked in leadership and human development in higher education, human services and the arts for ten years. She offers a unique blend of experience in consulting, management, professional performance and technical services. Prior to the founding of Icarus Evolving, Jennifer was an internal organizational development consultant, leadership educator and the Director of Research and Database Administration at the University of Maryland College Park.

A skilled and dynamic facilitator, presenter, trainer and workshop designer, Jennifer brings expertise in effective communications, strategic analysis, team building and leadership development to every client relationship. She has designed programs for professional, commercial and classroom audiences, and has worked closely with senior staff, new and mid-level supervisors as well as whole departments.

Jennifer holds a master's degree from the University of Maryland and has had comprehensive training in Process Consultation from the Office of Organizational Effectiveness at the University. She is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a member of the Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network (CBODN), the Organizational Development Network (ODN), and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

ALEXANDER KNAPP has been actively engaged in organizational and international development for more than a decade, specializing in change, conflict and risk management for diplomatic, government and non-profit clients in nearly thirty countries. In addition to co-founding Icarus Evolving, he works in leadership and consulting positions for the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES), the United Nations (UN), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the European Union (EU).

With a focus on organizational structure, budgeting, executive management and marketing, Alexander has assisted numerous clients to identify priorities, reduce 'organizational drag', and retain focus in the midst of competing demands, limited resources and the increasing pace of change. A seasoned leader, he has extensive experience in project design, analysis and oversight, as well as negotiation, public speaking and training.

Alexander holds degrees in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, as well as International Law and Public Administration. He is a member of the Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network (CBODN), the Organizational Development Network (ODN) and the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC).
